Perspectives on Peace is an ongoing series to bring together and enhance the global and local sustainability community. With film screenings or talks with authors, each session brings public conversations onto topics pertaining to contemporary peace and conflict. We also feature topics on economic and social sustainability and provide networking opportunities for students.
Our most recent POP event was held in October of 2023. The event featured President Moetai Brotherson, Head of State for French Polynesia, in conversation with Professor Jenik Radon. President Moetai discussed the challenges of marine resource development, such as sustainable fishing, nuclear waste, plastic, and deep sea mining.
